Birthday Greeting card

To start with the greeting card i came up with simple idea. A card which consists of cake , ribbons and text with some additional things.

In order to make this card using photoshop i started using an A4 size. To make the greeting card i downloaded a few brush tools.

For the front page:-

1) I made the red base up and down using brush tools and then added gradient.

2) Using line tools i made yellow stands on the left and right side and then added colour and effects to it like drop shadow etc.

3) In order to make Bo i downloaded boo brush with different types and designs and i chose the best one out of them. Once I selected which one to use i then used channel masking to add more effects to it.

4) For the ribbon i used brush toll which i downloaded also. When done, i added colour to it. I used clone tool to make it even at some places.

5) Using another layer i used curved rectangular tool to make cake . i coloured it with pink to make it a strawberry cake.

6) Using different kinds of brushes in Photoshop i decorated the cake (icing of the cake).

7) Then i made candles. When i made one candle including candle and flame i merged all that as one candle after adding colour and gradient for the flame. made one first and then copied to 4 different places.

8) For the happy birthday text i downloaded a suitable and stylish font and added in my fonts in control panel and then later used it in photoshop to write it in that particular font.

9) Then i made the red lights appearing as flower buds on the top using tool to make circle and then added white effects to look better. Then i merged it in one group and later copied to different places.

With this my front page was completed.

TEXT PAGE:

For the text page I :-

1) Drew a silver colour stand on which i would be hanging lights.

2) To make that stand i used i used line and rectangular tool and coloured it with silver. Then i copied it and made it slanting for one side. To make a X form i copied it and using transform under edit i flipped it to opposite side and made the rest. With this m scant was completed.

3) Then using rectangular toll i drew the outer cover for lights and circle tool to make bulb. I made it same colour too with the stand. For the bulbs of light i selected each one individually and coloured it with different colour. Once everything was done i merged all into one group including the stand excluding the bulb.

4) In order to show the light coming out from each one of the bulb i used rectangular tool and adjusted it accordingly to the light coming from the light. Each bulb giving different colour of light. Once it was done then using the opacity i reduced the transparency of the light.

5) Then i wrote the text for birthday using a font given in photoshop.

6) After that i drew balloons.

Once everything was completed i tried different colour for background but i used the one i like which was PINK colour. So i made pink background colour for the card.

To add extra design i added the white flowers design on the back ground using the brush tool which i had downloaded from before.

At last my card was ready to be printed and presented.

E Wallpaper ( Assignment 1)

My first wallpaper
















This wallpaper is after edit as told by the tutor.



1) i added the fom building image and used masking technique on it. then i made a new layer and added the gradient. later i added effect onto it.

2)i added text ( welcome to mmu open day , faculty of management , 21 march 2010 and the contact address). i used effects on it .selected colour and fonts.

3) i used mmu logo to put it on the building to show the fom building. under it i wrote fom with differnt font style and matched it with the background colour using opacity.

4) then on the left hand side of wallpaper i added the pictures followed by text. Like i added the class room image and stated that the campus has lab, classrooms and tutorial rooms; for student image i wrote total student strength etc. i added effects to the text to look more clear as it was too small.

5) behind the images i added a rectangular shape block and reduced its colour using hue and rgb. the reason i added it was to show the features of mmu fom on one side of wallpaper.

The main tools used in order to edit the image are

1) Clone tool - to recover from cracks on face , teeth and hair.
2) Clone pattern tool - for the boundaries of image ( the one in yellow colour , maroon colour, and white colour behind the person)
3) Smudge tool - i used it to make the brown colour on the frame smooth.
4) Layers - i used layer on the person . i selected the person first using the lasso magnetic tool and the using a new layer over it i adjusted the colour (hue, rgb). For the shirt , cap and hair i used layer and added colours and using opacity i adjusted it. To colour the patch on the cap i used magic wand and added colour to it.

Drawing face using computer components

This is my first assignment of photoshop which required to make a face using computer components.
For the face the computer components used are :-

1)Webcam - as Eyes and its base as Eyebrows
2)Handscanner - as Nose
3)Printer - as Mouth

IN order to make this face i used a layer of shapes from the shape tool - The ellipse tool . once it was done then using the gradient i just marked the above part of face ie the forehead and just brough it till the level of hair which formed as the head. then using the smudge tool i crossed over it to make it appear as hair.
After it i made another layer which made over the layer before and filled it with yellow colour. using the opacity i adjusted the colour in order to bring the colour of the head and hair which i did in the first step.

after this i used the computer components . i opened the image and using magic wand i selcted the picture . then i pressed ctrl+shift+i and I selected the inner part and copied to the face. The same thing i did for the nose and mouth. Later i adjusted them by rotating and adjusting them to proper place in the face.
To add additional things i just coloured the cheeks using the spray tool and then by using the smudge tool i just scattered the pink colour a bit to be even.
